Extended Hours Program is always looking to add valuable members to our team!
Our staff provide safe, fun, and enriching care for school aged children at elementary schools in the Grand Valley. Our staff members have the opportunity to create meaningful impacts in children's lives and offer essential care for working parents.
We offer part time hours with flexible scheduling to provide before and after school care to children during the school week, as well as the potential for full time hours during non-school days such as teacher work days, holiday breaks, and Summer Camps.
All Extended Hours staff members undergo Federal and State Criminal and Child Abuse Background Checks and Fingerprinting. They also receive training in CPR & 1st Aide, Medical Administration, Social & Emotional Development, Playground Safety, Injury Prevention, Recognition and Reporting of Child Abuse and Neglect, FEMA Disaster Training, as well as additional staff development and requirements set forth by the State of Colorado for Licensed Childcare Providers.
Extended Hours Program Staff Positions:
Program Aide: (starting wage $14.50 - $16.00 per hour)

Requirements:
-
Must be at least 16 years of age.

Work directly under supervision of Program Leader or Director.

Previous experience in childcare appreciated but not required.

Responsibilities:
-
Program Aides are responsible for assisting Program Leaders and Directors with direct supervision of children, implementing planned activities such as crafts, art projects, and science experiments.

All staff members are required to be actively engaged with children during their shifts.

Will also be involved with and receive training on cleaning processes, billing procedures, supply orders, and managing children's behaviors.

Program aides will work on building experience, knowledge, and hours to qualify as Program Leaders.

Program Leader: (starting wage $16.00 - $17.00 per hour)

Requirements:
-
Must be at least 18 years of age.

Minimum of 460 hours of verifiable experience working or volunteering with school aged children (5 - 12) in a professional capacity.

*Formal letter of experience from previous supervisor or institution required to verify hours and experience.

Responsibilities:
-
Program Leaders are responsible for providing direct supervision of children, managing behaviors, parent communication, daily site set up, and implementing planned activities such as crafts, art projects, and science experiments.

Shall assist in maintaining a clean and organized site, as well as collecting payments and maintaining billing accounts for children attending in care.

Program Leaders are responsible for assisting in training and supervision of Program Aides.

Site Director: (starting wage $17.00 - $18.50 per hour)

Requirements:

Must be at least 21 years of age.

Must meet at least one of the following criteria:
-
4 year degree with a major such as recreation, education, or a subject in the human service field

2 years of college training as well as a minimum of 910 hours of verifiable experience working or volunteering with school aged children (5-12) in a professional capacity

*Formal letter of experience from previous supervisor or institution required to verify hours and experience.

3 years (minimum of 5460 hours) of verifiable experience working or volunteering with school age children (5-12) in a professional capacity. Program Director must also complete 6 semester hours from a college or university OR 40 clock hours of course work applicable to school-age children within the first 9 months of employment.

Responsibilities:

The Site Director is responsible for overseeing staff training, child behaviors, billing accounts, and general well-being of site.
-
The director will be responsible for being sure the site is following all requirements for supervision, physical premises, and health standards compliant with childcare licensing and health department regulations.

The director will also be expected to be actively involved with children while in care, parent communication, and maintain a clean and organized location.

Site Directors are responsible for ensuring that daily planning activities are being implemented, as well as completing supply orders necessary for the site to operate successfully.
